New Scrawl Radio Show, 7/8 July 8, 2011

Today’s Scrawl Radio show focused on performance and craft. Performances by host Devin of his award-winning video “the American Dream,” and by first-and-second-place winners of last week’s Flask Fiction. What made this a good listen is that the types and formats of these works were so different.

Sustainable Scrawling June 24, 2011

For those who don’t know, Scrawl–the UCWbL’s radio show–is live every Friday at 11am on Radio DePaul.

When you’re told to listen to a writing center’s radio show, you’re like, “Yeah, okay,” and figure you’ll never listen, or if you do you’ll do it for four minutes and be done.

But this show is seriously hilarious, full of pop culture references and self-deprecating waves of epicosity.

The American Dream

The American Dream, a short film produced by UCWbLer Devin Leigh (History & African Studies, ’12) and directed by Marcus Deely (Digital Cinema ’11), won an award for best writing at DePaul’s Premiere VI Film Festival at the Music Box Theater. Congratulations!
